`Many cultures considered coning a spiritual practice for clearing the mind and senses. They claimed it cleared the mind and body so you could meditate and open up your sensitivity.  In ancient times this process was described as "coning", cone shaped instruments made from pottery clay were used. 

There is evidence dating back to 3,000 B.C that the ancient Chinese practiced ear candling, parchment scrolls have been found describing the procedure.  Egyptians used reeds gathered from the Nile.  The Greeks have also left evidence of using this therapy.  In South America the Indians use candles made from rolled up newspaper that has been waxed and scented with incense.  Though ear candling was used by many early cultures, it is still used in India, Egypt, Mexico, Japan, Germany, Canada, Australia and U.S.A.

The therapy of Ear Candling is a safe, pain-free, and relaxing method of relieving may pressure related head problems and for cleaning the ears.  It has been practiced for countless generations and in many cultures.  Orginally a reed or rolled poaper was used as the former for the candle, but most modern candles use cloth as a base onto which was is applied.
